* JAPAN Duty Free sales are expected to increase by 10% this year on the back of a strong Chinese visitor resurgence and an increased departing Japanese passenger group with accounts for 50% of the purchases made so far this year. Cosmetic sales had a 25% increase, fragrances 19%, liquor 20% and confectionary had over a 20% increase. Tobacco sales slightly higher with only a 2% increase. *SINGAPORE’s Changi airport reported 4.6m passengers for the month of June on par with estimations with spurred growth from traffic to Northeast Asia however with weaker than normal demand going to Thialand. For more information please follow this link.
